Which Direction to Go?

This morning, I feel a bit like I'm flailing. Do you ever have on of those days where you know you have a lot to do, and you even want to do all those things, but getting started on any one task is impossible?

The usual things that I enjoy don't sound appealing to me. I don't want to start anything new because I have so much to do already. I like the things I have on my list, but today, for some reason, I'm just not there in my head to do them.

What do you do to get out of funks like this?

I know the feeling, and it's hard to get out of that space. I'm not always able to do it, but sometimes I make the effort by sheer force of will. I pick something from my list of tasks, turn off my conscious mind, get up out of my chair, and just start the task before I can think about it. Once I've started the momentum moves me forward. It doesn't always work, but it does sometimes.

Ack, I can relate. I do what you do--blog about it. :P

Here's one answer I found recently. I haven't had a chance to try it yet though.

I go and get coffee and rest and meditate for an hour.

After that, I make myself do at least *one* thing on the list, whether I like it or not. It usually jolts me out.
